Our parents were right. Our friends who have older children were right also. Time really does fly, and the days of diaper wearing, bottle drinking, and Cheerio eating do pass by quickly. Adeline started preschool...she was most definitely ready! Having been a teacher prior to having my own kids, this new role as the parent of a child instead of the teacher of a child is a bit different. Today, parents stayed with their child, as the kids met the teachers and settled into the classroom. I met Mrs. Julie at a "before school begins" conference in August which allowed me to have such calmness on this first day morning. She is fabulous, and we have full confidence that Addie would be under wonderful care. The morning went smooth as can be and Adeline is very excited to return for her second day.
