Keeping busy...

Patrick spent a day this past week washing all of our window screens and windows, inside and out....it looks fantastic! Adeline is, as always, "helping daddy."

 Happy Birthday Daddy!

Adeline with great-grandpa....reading books together.  It was special to have great-grandpa here to spend time with us this afternoon!

Adeline with grandpa Jim & grandma Melodee...can you tell she is loving all of the extra attention?!

Patrick's aunt Pam from California met Adeline for the first time today.  Pam has watched her grow up via our blog, and finally today, they had the opportunity to meet and play together!

Bubbles, Bible Study, etc.

Have we mentioned this girl LOVES bubbles?!

Miss Angie & Miss Rhonda were Addie's BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) teachers this past year.  They are amazing teachers!  Seeing how much Addie enjoyed going to "Bible Study" every week just warmed my heart and am thankful that next fall, I can bring 2 kiddos with me.

2.5

At two and a half, Adeline is 23 pounds and 34 inches of sweet and sassy!  She is just a few weeks away from being a BIG SISTER!
Addie and I spent a couple hours at the zoo this morning.  She loves the playground there and enjoyed seeing some animals!

"Here I go down the slide mommy!"

She seems to be saying something to the goat...

 Intently watching the monkeys...

We arrived back at home, and Addie jumped right into "helping daddy" around the yard!

Easter Week

I laugh at the fact that in the last post of the blog, I mentioned that spring is here.....take a look what mother nature had in store for us this past week (yes, in late April)!!!  Fortunately, this all melted by the afternoon of that day!!

With her pjs still on one morning, Addie busily played!  It looks like she's having a picnic on the kitchen floor.

Addie and I made "bird's nests" to bring over for our Easter dinner with extended family.  Her favorite part was definitely the little "eggs" on top (jellybeans).  I would turn around, and there would be some missing...I wonder where they went?!

We had Easter dinner at Uncle Chris & Auntie Emily's.   We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day - 60s and sunny!

Spring is here....

We finally are feeling the warm weather around here.  Adeline was "helping" daddy with some work on the yard.

It looks as if Addie is getting her first lesson on raking from daddy.

Addie says, "I want to shovel..." so here she is shoveling (notice there is no snow!)

playing around after church....smiles and all!

Almost 2 and a half...

Adeline is going to be a flower girl late this summer (along with our niece Evalyn) at my cousin Jenny's wedding.  Her dress arrived in the mail last week, and she happily tried it on for me!

Addie now likes to eat things as she sees big people doing.  She always says, can I "hold it"?  Instead of eating slices of an apple, for instance, she likes to "hold it" herself and eat it whole!

 Such a big girl!

My dad's birthday was a couple of weeks ago, and we finally found a time to celebrate with him!
